Tiger roll

Another really good roll from Wild Ginger!, this one tastes alot different than the rest. Its actually warm, and mixed with fried food as well ((sushi isn't always raw)). The Tiger roll is what its called because it is lightly spicy and mixed with face punching ingredients. It is also one of my favorites and I order alot but the Sweet Heart roll is still pretty up their!

My Valentines day sweets<3

I know Im a little late but I was busy with school!, sorry. So, I had a good valentines day, and went to one of my favorite resturaunts called Ditto's on Barnestown road. I got a chocolate mouse cake, which is soooo good. They added a few hearts in the rasberry and chocolate sauce which is the best part of the dish to me. It compliments the smooth buttery center and adds more flavor to the rich dish. The whipped cream is something new but it is also good with it!. This is my favorite dessert so far from Ditto's and everytime I have it I just melt into its sweetnesss, the taste never gets old! This dish ((RATE *****))

Ditto's

This dish called Mardi Gra, is a crabecake and chicken with rice, with rich sauce with a kick to it. I really like this dish, my mom said its like a taste of New Orleans, lol. I love crabe cakes so this combo I automatically loved, but Im not a fan of spicy food and  this is totally fire. So that bumped off a few points, but still a tasty and filling dish. RATE: ***

Mad Love (for my Valentine)

My comic finally came in the mail!, Im so excited to put it on my book shelf and claim it my own. I already read it and it was hilarious!  A cute little mad love story just for Harley and Joker. The comic does include more stories in between about other Batman villans. It was very good and ((I RATE IT ****))

Sweet Hearts

Went to a place called Wild Ginger, its a sushi fusion resturaunt I go to alot because there food is so delicious. This one in particular is called a Sweet Heart roll, I thought it was apropriet for Valentines Day. This is one of many beautiful and delicious sushi's they serve. But this dish is turning out to be my favorite!, I keep getting it everytime I go there now. But I do have many others that I love ((which Ill show those pictures later)) but this one so far is my number one. And so far Wild Ginger has not served me a plate that wasent amazing!! I absolutly love this resturaunt and when I go inside it makes me feel at home, its clean and soft inside and the waiters are amazing, friendly and hard working!. ((I RATE *****))

Harley Quinn

"My love for my Joker is stronger than their madhouse walls"- Harley Quin

Harley Quinn, real name Harleen Quinzel is the sidekick to the Batman's arch nemeses, The Joker.
This is her story.....

Harleen, shes a beautiful psychiatric model student and receiving high grades in college, she is also a dedicated gymnast winning a scholarship to Gotham City University. While researching the lunatics at Arkham Asylum((insane asylum)), she becomes unusually fascinated with one particular. She then ambitiously volunters and works very hard to qualify to analyze him or even be in the same room. It took three months for her to finally talk to him. In her first session with the Joker he unfortunately finds out that she's a newbie and thinks that she'll "be easy". But while talking there were times were The Joker was struck with surprise with how different she was from the others, there's more to this girl than meets the eye, we know it and so did Joker. Through one of their unusually conversations the Joker smiles and blurts out "Ya know!, I like what I've heard about you sweets, especially your name Harleen Quinzel....hmmm, mix it around a bit and you get Harley Quinn!" ((like the play on words Harlequin)) She not really impressed with his comment, showing on her face that shes herd it before. But the Joker casually tells her that it just puts a smile on his face. Through many sessions the Joker started to work his manipulation in trying to gain sympathy by making up a sad childhood story, which she bought. Then, to add to it he would somehow sneak roses into her office from time to time with a note attached that said "Come down and see me sometime - J". This was the second phase to his manipulation, by seducing her subtly. Then to top it all off he would make up stories trying to make himself sound like the victim in this Batman feud, and saying that Batman isn't a hero but a big bully that doesn't get "the joke". This makes Harleen a little angry at Batman and makes more pity for the Joker, all this information makes her feel special and she thinks she understands him. But he wasn't all sweet and giggly with Harleen, at times he would just snap and would attempt to hurt her, but would casually say he was just kidding. Then a very significant and important scene is when he throws her down on the table and starts to choke her for no reason, and her face is doing nothing but smiling. This only shows that she is just fascinated with every thing he does. And these weird mood swings just makes her all the more obsessed.
After going through all of this she knew that she is in love. Theres a scene where it shows the Joker talking and she's supposed to be "taking notes" when shes actually sketching the Joker and drawing little hearts next to his face, then the Batmans face and "X'ing" it out. Some time later the Joker escapes Arkham and Harleen is devastated and scared for her love, she's got this weird reasoning that the Joker is like a "innocent child that just wants everyone to laugh at his joke". A few months later the Joker gets thrown into Arkham again all beat up and bloody by Batman. She is furious at Batman and sad for her love. So after all of this, she finally decides she wants to do something about this, something to help her beloved Joker.
So she goes and fetches a costume and some makeup, and steals some supplies from a store. Then she sneaks past the guards and breaks free Joker. In the middle of all this Joker says something like "Lets go Doc!". and Harleen replies with "Nuh-uh-uh pudd'in, say helooo to ya' new and improved HARLEY QUINN!!" Her New York accent is much more deep and higher pitched just showing her craziness take its toll. and in this moment revealing her costume, she hit her first ultimate point of insanity. Joker, after surprise and a little dumbfounded but impressed then laughs hysterically and follows her as Harley totally takes care of breaking him free. And thus starts their iconic, addictive, lovably harsh"Mad Love".

My observation

Today in a class of mine, my teacher asked each of us to make a piece of paper that said "I'm Awesome" for the front title. Then he told us to tape it on our backs. He announced that we would all stand and write something positive on each others backs and wear that piece of paper for the rest of the day without looking at it. Well I noticed before we started the project that some of the people's faces were very excited and some very nervous. The excited ones of course were smiling and had a slight jittery energy in their movements, which means they were anticipating to do it and excited. And the others had a nervousness in their eyes and were either biting their lips or being really tense. Some suddenly started to act kind of awkward behavior and would quickly look around the room to see other peoples reactions. Those people of course ((and sadly)) have low self esteem and were nervous about the thoughts of others.
Which made me realize something, their are a lot more comments of negative then their are positives in our daily life's. Especially in this generation were "the new thing" is cutting other people down to make you look like a bigger person. Think about it, when people gather around to gossip, they never talk about a persons good quality's but their flaws. And the media is definitely not helping the situation, because all it talks about is what beauty is supposed to look like and the things you need to do to become this way. Peoples minds are now so accustomed and so use to the negative that hearing a compliment is such a big deal. Like when a friend of mine finally ready the notes on her back someone had left the word "cute", and you would have thought she won the lottery. She freaked out over this little comment, and she didn't even know who it was by.
And made me notice that she had maybe never thought of herself that way, I mean how are you ever gonna know if people dont tell you. I always thought she was cute but I had never said it. We never even compliment on just the "little" things about people that we may like, but when it comes to flaws, most seem to jump all over that. It's wonders what you can do to people when you compliment them on just "something positive" about them. I remember reading my notes and I felt my self esteem raise so much and I felt so warm inside((sorry for the corniness)). So I'm gonna try and I hope you'll do it with me, to be a little more positive to my loved ones, and EVEN MY ENIMIES. Because you never know if that one compliment could save a persons life.

The Woman in Black

Saw the Woman in Black today. I gotta say I was a little disappointed, the trailer was way better than the movie. I was hoping this was going to be a really good true scary movie, but it wasn't. The whole film was just covered with cheap thrills and sudden pop ups that you knew was going to happen. I remember a whole scene were they use the flapping of a crow going by like three times to make people jump, I actually said "This is ridiculous" out loud. But I do have to say there were a lot of intense scenes that made me hold my breath at times. And the actors were really good and believable, but unfortunately the story was not. *Spoiler* The story was such a obvious and unoriginal old story of a woman who lost her kid and when she dies she comes back as this curse to kill other kids since she cant have her own. It was just a plot I've seen a million times. I was hoping the ending would get better but again left me disappointed. But this movie I can see leaving people with nightmares and to start becoming paranoid and avoiding dark spots in your house. But over all the movie was intense and had some creepy parts in it, but I wouldn't recommend it to people. Overall I give the movie RATING: *** ((two and a half stars))

Mad Love

My comic should be coming in by Tuesday. It is a Batman comic but is all about The Joker and Harley Quinn ((written by Paul Dini)). It's about how she became Harley Quinn and the story's of them two together. Something about theme that just thrills my mind, they are constantly in this roller coaster of emotions. How he manipulates her, and beats her, but at times shows affection. And her absolutely obsessed with him and doesn't mind him beating her, but it still hurts her heart deep down and she just yearns for his approval. Their twisted psychopathic complicated love story I will never get tired of. ((I will be posting much more about The Joker and Harley Quinn))

Update

I havent been on in a while so I wanted to give a little update. So I'v been sick for a few days, so is my mother and my little sister, but they have it way worse than me. I'm watching Lord of the Rings right now, such a good movie. I'm waiting for my Mad Love comic to come out, I cant freakin wait!! *cough*. Anyways, been playing Batman Arkum City which is still awsome. Also I have been watching alot of Modern Family ((I got the first season)). I have a sore throat so I tried to make some tea on my days off. But a few times I really messed up, it either tasted funny or it wasent hot enough. It seems like no medicine is helping me, no matter how much or different ones I take, it seems to have no effect. I cant even think anymore, I'm so distracted right now. I'm gonna get off now, I wont stop sneezing. ((I was gonna tell you more but now's not a good time)). bye *achoo!*

Batman: Arkum City

I finally got Batman:Arkum City which is the sequel to Batman Arkum Asylum. And so far I'm not being dissapointed, all of the kinks are there just like the other one but this time Batman has upgraded and has got some new moves!. Also you get to see some new villians that you didnt in the first and even some you can actually play!. I'v only played the first hour of it and tonight I plan on playing more and I cant wait.

The Artist

Just saw The Artist today, it was a black and white no sound motion picture made in the 20th century and it was amazing!. This was what I was waiting for, this movie breaks my yearning for original and a true acting film. It stands out and shines from all the others and will make its mark forever. This was beyond what I had imagined it to be it was not only entertaining but funny and sad and a beautiful love story. This movie has to be a break through stroke of genius for the movie business. It deserves all the awards it got and much more. Although some people thought that a no sound movie would be boring and very awkward and corny while watching it. But it proved them and me wrong. The film is very high energy and is always drowned by beautiful music that fits the film perfectly!. You always know whats going on and what their really saying even when you don't hear them. When the film was over, EVERYONE in the audience gave it a standing ovation ((yeah, it was that good)). Trust me when I say you will leave the theater feeling happy and satisfied and in love with the characters the movie and show business! RATE: FIVE STAR *****

Art & Max

This is an interesting childrens book. The cover got my attention and i decided to read it. It was a confusing book that went in many different directions and left me a bit shocked. I wasent really sure if i liked it or not, then i realised that i was expecting a childrens book with corny lines and innocent characters, it wasent REALLY made a kids story. The story was too complicated and deep for children to understand. But as an adult i really enjoyed it.

The Mind

Its so interesting, the human mind is so complicated. Ill be posting more on that soon!

Unbreakable

I'm sure most people are familiar with the director M. Night Shamalan ((made Sixth sense)). And this movie I want to bring up today was an earlier movie he made that surprisingly didn't get much credit as it deserved. Its called Unbreakable and happens to be one of my favorite movies. It was released in 2000 and of course everyone was expecting another great movie that will follow M Night's last smash hit. But  instead it was herd that people came out feeling disappointed and cheated. A person even yelled out in the theater "This sucks!" at the screen ((was that necessary)). Most people now days, not ALL people but most ((especially my generation)) have a hard time finding a deeper meaning to anything. What I see in this movie is a selfless nobody who is struggling with his marriage and has a son who constantly looking up to him a man(named David))who has everyday problems in his life and cant think of how he can make any difference in the world and be special in any way. Which happens to be most people in this life and can attract a certain crowd. Then things happen in the story that makes him realize that he IS different, like how he has never been sick or hurt and even how he was the only survivor on a train crash. A man he has never met named Alex Ross told him that there are two types of people in this world, the one's that break, and the ones that are unbreakable. Throughout,Alextry's to tell him that he is not living the life he was meant to.((basically telling him that hes meant to be a "super hero")) That's why David feels so depressed with his life, as if something was missing. David of course thinks Alex has a mental illness and trys to avoid him. But for some reason Alex's words haunt him and deep down he wants to believe he's right, little did he know he was. This movie is famous for its sudul meanings and moments. One thing that I love is that there is no special effects in this movie. I think that's a reason why people were angry because they wanted to see a bunch of action packed effects. What they don't get is Unbreakable is a movie about a man just finding out who he was and meant to be. His "powers" are not all exaggerated and colorful, this movie is more close to REAL than any super hero movie you'll ever see. Its true and beautiful and has many different metaphoric meanings behind it, not just a movie about a cool super hero with a ridiculous outfit. This movie I'm sure you will understand if you sit through all the quiet parts and slow moments and actually LISTEN, you might find yourself inspired by this movie. RATE: FIVE STAR *****

Batman

Ya know, I'm not really a video game fan. But recently I'v been having a real obsession with The Joker from Batman. So I got interested in the Batman Arkum Asylum game. So we got it, played it, AND TOTALLY FELL MADLY IN LOVE WITH IT!!!. I have never been so obsessed with a video game in MY LIFE. This game has everything, great graphics, great story, great challenges, great thrillers and more. The game is a little bit scary and intimidating but that just makes the game all the way more fun. Most of Batmans moves are bad ass and make you feel awesome after your done whooping a bunch of thugs. They don't hold back in this game, theres not really kid friendly stuff like the animated series. It's more real and much darker and true to the comics. The Joker's voice actor is Mark Hamill who does an amazing job at capturing the physco fun character that I love and happen to be very picky over. Harley Quinn is also in this game who acts just the same as all ways and happens to have a sexier appeal in this than usual , but works for her. Theres also alot of easter eggs and great villains that you will encounter throughout the game. We have finished the game and it ended greatly. Now I'm fixing to get the Batman Arkum City game that is the sequel to Batman Arkum Asylum. In the picture you'll see the trashed city with Batman and Harley mouthing off to Batman again. ((Harley is an interesting character which I'll post a blog about her later, she interests my passion for phycology)) Again this is an amazing game which I recomend for anybody even those who dont like video games. I rate a FIVE STAR *****

Vase

This im actually proud of. It was just meant to be a quick sketch of a cup for my art class and suddenly turned into a vase. And i just kept going. Added some shadeing some design and a little shadow to make it pop. ((For those who like to draw 3D sketches, adding a shadow and some shadeing to your sketch will add alot of depth and value to it. You just need to know where your light source is.))

Heres the other one, he seems to be the most freindly of them both but tends to be alittle hoity at times. ((If I spelled hoity right))

My little freinds

Theres also these two little ducks that tend to be out and about when im on lunch. They always play and chase each other. I always enjoy watching them, like a dinner and a show. They used to keep there distance but they get really close from time to time. So i decided to take a little shot of one of them. ((Took me a while, they were always running))

The Zoo

I happen to work at the zoo and sometimes on my lunch break it will get really pretty outside. And i begin to get inspired to take some photos, this one wasent all that great but i love this tree because its always there to block the sun or the rain for me. If only I had someone in my life like that...ya know that tree is kind of metaphoric in many ways. Its always there.

I dont know why but I tend to favor this picture alot. Theres something about the angel wings that get to me.

Sleep

A funny thing about sleep, you never want to go to bed. yet in the morning you never want to leave it.

Midnight in Paris

Watched a movie recently called Midnight in Paris. I like how in the trailer it didnt give anything away, so when I watched it I really had no idea what it was about, and it actually suprised me. It was a brilliant, original story that is good for anyone who likes history or time travel. ;)
